Everyday of your life, you are working so hard for your family, to be successful in your career, to prove you are somebody, and influence others with your talent, skills, and intelligence. People nowadays are so busy with many things, and because almost all hours are mostly spent for work, there’s no time to rest, meditate and see a doctor. Fathers wake up early to be ready for work and stay up late at night to finish a paperwork, while mothers are busy taking care of their children, preparing meals, doing household chores and attending their kid’s school events. Even single men and women can’t find time to take good care of themselves because they’re also too busy working and socializing, thus ending eating in a fast food, restaurant or easy-to-prepare but not nutritious meals.

Research show that high obesity rates are brought about by poor diet, consumption of pizza, chips, chocolates, soda, burger, ice cream, and other junk food and processed food, and they are usually falsely advertised, but don’t really give any health benefits. Many of us do not realize the importance of our bodies, so it is high time to start eating nutritious food and exercising seriously, loving and taking care of ourselves, because our bodies are only our vessel in this life, for us to be able to enjoy the fruits of our labor with our families and friends. You can start by selecting fresh fruits, vegetables and whole food, instead of refined and processed food. It is more convenient grabbing fresh bananas and stirring a glass of milk, than having a drive through fast food early in the morning, same with putting a nutritious frozen homemade burritos in your microwave, than the unhealthy mac and cheese. It is better to consume beans and grains that refined sugars, whole wheat bread than white bread, oatmeals and cereals, honey, brown or muscovado sugar than white sugar, and brown rice than white rice.

It can be hard finding a time to exercise, but we need to do it, and this can be achieved by setting an alarm to our smartphones to remind us about our own exercise time. Once you are used to exercising, it becomes a part of your system, a hobby and eventually a normal everyday routine you won’t miss out, and you’ll surely see a significant improvement not only physically but also psychologically. Use the staircase instead of the elevator, walk instead of driving nearby grocery store, and take some time running, swimming or playing your favorite sport on your free time.
